Transactions
Overview

The Transactions Tab is a Tool within the Accounting Application for reviewing transaction-level accounting activity. It supports maintaining a consistent record of transactions that can be reconciled and used in reporting Outputs.
When to Use This Tool
- When you need to review recorded transaction activity for a period
- When you need to confirm that transaction records are present and consistent before reporting or reconciliation
- When you need transaction-level visibility to support investigation or follow-up work
What You Can Do in This Tab
- Review transaction activity as accounting records across operational activity
- Identify transactions that require follow-up in other Tabs (for example, adjustments or reclassification)
- Use transaction-level visibility as a baseline for reconciliation and reporting
How This Tab Fits in the Application
The Transactions Tab provides foundational record visibility within the Accounting Application. It supports downstream Tabs such as Bank Reconciliation, General Ledger, and Reports by ensuring that accounting records exist and can be reviewed at an appropriate level of detail.
Notes and Limitations
- Visibility and available operations can vary based on capabilities and access rules.
- The usefulness of Outputs in downstream Tabs depends on transactions being recorded consistently.
- Some corrections may require handling in other Tabs (for example, Journal Entries).
