General Ledger

Overview

General Ledger

The General Ledger Tab is a Tool within the Accounting Application for reviewing consolidated accounting activity by account over time. It supports auditability and reporting by providing a ledger-oriented view of recorded entries.

When to Use This Tool

  • When you need a consolidated ledger view for period review and auditing
  • When you want to understand how transactions and entries map into account balances
  • When you need to support reporting review with ledger-level context

What You Can Do in This Tab

  • Review ledger-level Outputs that consolidate accounting activity by account
  • Validate that recorded activity aligns with expected classifications
  • Identify areas that require follow-up in Transactions or Journal Entries

How This Tab Fits in the Application

The General Ledger Tab is a core review area within the Accounting Application. It consolidates accounting activity and supports downstream reporting by providing an authoritative ledger view based on recorded transactions and journal entries.

Notes and Limitations

  • Visibility and available operations can vary based on capabilities and access rules.
  • The completeness of ledger Outputs depends on consistent recording and classification across the Accounting Application.
  • Some adjustments may require changes in Journal Entries rather than within the ledger view.
