WordPress / WooCommerce installation

This guide covers installing and connecting the CoreXBiz plugin on a site that already runs WordPress with WooCommerce. It assumes you have administrator access to WordPress.

Video walkthrough

Prerequisites

Before you install the plugin:

  1. WordPress and WooCommerce are installed and updated to versions supported by your CoreXBiz subscription documentation or release notes.
  2. You have completed CoreXBiz account signup and have an active subscription (or trial, if offered).
  3. You have the CoreXBiz plugin ZIP file provided after signup.
  4. You have your API key (sometimes labeled as a license key in the plugin). Store it securely and do not commit it to public repositories.

If any item is missing, use your CoreXBiz account portal or support channel to obtain the ZIP and key.

Install the plugin

  1. Log in to WordPress admin.
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
  3. Click Upload Plugin.
  4. Choose the CoreXBiz .zip file and click Install Now.
  5. Wait for the installation to finish. If WordPress reports a failure, confirm the ZIP is complete, your PHP upload limits allow the file size, and try again.

Activate the plugin

  1. On the success screen, click Activate Plugin.
Alternatively, go to Plugins, find CoreXBiz, and click Activate.

Until the plugin is activated, CoreXBiz features will not run on the site.

API key setup

After activation:

  1. In the WordPress admin menu, open CoreXBiz.
  2. Go to Core Settings.
  3. Open the General tab.
  4. Enter your license / API key in the field provided.
  5. Click Save Changes.

The plugin validates the key with CoreXBiz. When validation succeeds, the site is connected to your CoreXBiz account and features included in your subscription are enabled.

If validation fails, recheck the key for typos, confirm the subscription is active, and contact support if the problem continues.

How the connection works

  • The API key identifies your CoreXBiz account and authorizes this WordPress site to use the subscribed capabilities.
  • Product data, orders, and store configuration remain in your WordPress and WooCommerce database. CoreXBiz extends how you work with that data according to the modules you use; it does not replace WooCommerce as your store system unless your documentation describes a specific migration (not required for standard installation).

What happens after activation

  • CoreXBiz admin screens become available in WordPress according to your plan and permissions.
  • Sync or feature-specific behavior depends on your subscription; refer to module documentation for each area you enable.

Module setup

Individual modules can be configured after installation, in any order that matches your priorities. You do not need to configure every module before using the product.

Existing WooCommerce setup

Installing CoreXBiz does not require rebuilding your WooCommerce store. Products, customers, and order history stay in place. You are adding a plugin to the current site, not replacing the store platform.

Deactivate, disconnect, and uninstall

Disconnect

  1. In CoreXBiz → Core Settings → General, clear the API key or use a documented “disconnect” control if your plugin version provides one.
  2. Save changes so the site no longer authenticates to CoreXBiz.

Deactivate and uninstall

  1. Go to Plugins.
  2. Deactivate CoreXBiz.
  3. Delete the plugin if you want it removed entirely (standard WordPress plugin removal).

Your WooCommerce store, products, customers, and order history remain in WordPress after uninstall. Remove or export any CoreXBiz-specific data only if your organization requires it; behavior may vary by module—check module docs if you stored custom data.
